Native American Pow Wow Drums

Inspired under the magnificent Grand Tetons in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Sacred Mountain Drums creates Native American style drums of beauty. We make rattles, frame drums (hand drums), barrel drums and pow-wow drums. These drums are not only ceremonial and fine musical instruments, but the are designed to be unique, fine furniture as well. The large pow-wow drums when placed in a living or working areas are a central focus point and a natural energy conduit. They seem to create an inviting area for heart centered conversation and song.

The main creator of these drums is Alan Willes. He is a song keeper/drum maker, collecting and holding ancient songs from indigenous peoples and newer personal songs of wonderful people around the world. He enjoys sharing these songs with others in drum circles and in Long Dances that are held on the equinox and solstices out on the earth. His drums and rattles are being used by music therapists, women drum circles, men drum circles and healing groups. Alan is not Native American himself if that matters. He does make the drums with an earth reverence and much dreamtime. Always as his teachers say, "in a good way". The songs, dance and drumming are a good way to bring a good life. Its the way all indigenous peoples that are connected to the earth find health, happiness and attunement.
